Riley Was Born!

Good news from Mio, Michigan - Riley was born on Friday, June 13. If you haven't caught on, Riley is the name of our new schnoodle puppy. It sounds like besides the three females, there were also two males in the litter. We have the first pick of the females and we're told one of them has a white belly and more white on her face than the others (hard to tell from the pics below) so we're thinking we'll pick that one but we'll see, I don't think we have to make a decision quite yet so hopefully we'll get some more pics as the weeks progress. Puppy!

So, Joani finally got her way and we have put a deposit down on a puppy. Not just a puppy, a schnoodle. I was fighting to get a black lab (an actual dog) but I figured it would be well worth it to keep Joani happy - I'm still convinced she'd love a black lab just as much but we'll see how this goes and maybe we can get a black lab as well down the road. Sounds like we'll be able to pick up the puppy the first weekend of August as they're not due to be born until the middle of June. Here is a pic of one of the puppies from the breeder we're working with - ours should be the same color.
